The story of the Original Jombie Towel
“Jombie” is a nickname that was given to the towel’s creator Jennifer Wood by her parents when she was a young girl. She began running in 1995 and has never looked back. When she ran Boston in 2000, her parents proudly stood by with signs reading
“Go Jombie Go!”
Like most runners, Jombie used to lay a towel over her car seat after a long run to protect the seat from perspiration. Unfortunately, as soon as she sat down the towel would fall down around her shoulders, or slip off of the seat. Finally, an idea struck her and she had the answer. The Jombie Towel was born! She created a durable product that was versatile and fun.
